nyse:alk https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=19 Apr 11th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open Alaska Airlines Temp Pool Seattle, WA TEMP POOL Alaska Airlines is more than an airlines, being here the past 6 months it feels like a family. Being part of the Temp Pool you get to experience different assignments and meet so many other co-workers, who eventually become your friend. Alaska Airlines is a company that runs 24/7 so there are requirements that ask you to be available weekends, holidays, days, nights and graveyard shifts, but there are ways to cope with the schedules if you really want to be at this company. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 19 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Open Apr 17th, 2024 04:59PM Apr 17th, 2024 04:59PM Alaska Air Consumer Services Travel & Leisure
nyse:alk https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=19 Apr 9th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant Seattle, WA Burn Out is high - Pay is Awful Health insurance is great, so are flight Beni’s (when you can get on standby and when you aren’t too exhausted to travel on your time off) Horrible pay (been there for about a decade and still struggling to pay my bills - had to get a second job in order to make ends meet). Management send emails with a condescending and gaslighting tone. They basically want their flight attendants to show up early and work for free without paying us, but yet will penalize us if we show up even a minute late (even if the flight is delayed - they will only give you a grace period on check in time if the flight is delayed for an hour or more.) We still continue to do right by our passengers, because it’s not their fault, but many flight attendants are burnt out and this will ultimately affect the customer service if something doesn’t change. If you are considering an FA position, honestly go to SWA or Delta & get a living wage. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 0.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 19 Open Pay your flight attendants what they are worth!!! This year I’ve had a death on board, multiple medical situations, diversions, and have gotten stuck on my layovers into my days off. Yet I can still barely afford to pay my bills. All of our bases are in very expensive cities & it’s been very difficult with inflation. Morale is very low because your front line employees are struggling to make ends meet and stretching ourselves thin to run the operation. Please show us you care!!!!! 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 20.0 Open Apr 12th, 2024 10:21AM Apr 12th, 2024 10:21AM Alaska Air Consumer Services Travel & Leisure

nyse:alk https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=19 Apr 6th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open Alaska Airlines Customer Service Representative Seattle, WA Fight Benefits are nice. Pay is really bad! The benefits are nice, free flights and the health benefits are really good. The pay is very bad, and the culture is not much better, although diversity is a big theme at the company, and they walk the walk. They also don't seem to value their employees, and we watch as they single out employees and treat them with an over management style that appears to be an attempt to make you want to quit. We have seen it time and time again. I believe in unions, but I don't think the one representing the Alaska employees is effective at ALL! Back to the pay. You have to work 60-plus hours a week just to make enough to pay your rent in Seattle and the extra hours you get by picking up shifts from co-works. It is not overtime pay, it is straight-time, nothing more. SeaTac recently increased the minimum wage, but Alaska lobbied and won to keep their pay below the new minimum wage. Would I recommend a job at Alaska? No, McDonald's pays more than Alaska, and I can only guess that it is a lot less stressful. -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 POSITIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 4.0 19 Open Pay your heavily trained staff a liveable wage and stop believing that you should somehow feel blessed to have a job with Alaska Airlines. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Open Apr 8th, 2024 08:43PM Apr 8th, 2024 08:43PM Alaska Air Consumer Services Travel & Leisure
