Amazing team members, management is terrible.
|
Managers arent the nicest. Donât argue or speak your mind or youll only get short shifts, they want you to blindly follow their instructions. Discounted are pretty good. Some stores are really fun to work at, some managers are really nice but at specific locations some managers are horrible and blatantly disrespectful and non equally divide shifts due to personal hatredâs. Area managers are nice

Good Workplace culture

Best workplace I ever served. Management is very helpful. Good salary structure and pay on time . Very effective schedule for university students. I make some friends as well and they also arrange team dinner so that every one get know each other and make a strong team.

I really enjoyed working at Shaver shop. My team were great people so this made working there really enjoyable.
Managers were good too. Always gave us updates on new products good training and were really supportive.

Loved working with this company but after my direct manager left it fell apart. upper management is terrible and the culture is appalling. expected to work outside of work hours with no return and no help. Area manager would throw you under the bus rather than admit a mistake.

I was apart of the management and it was by far my favourite job yet.

Worst Place I’ve ever worked
|
I worked at Shaver Shop for 3 years, across sales assistant, assistant manager and store manager positions. It was the worst place I have ever worked, shaver shop values it’s profits over caring for their workers. They expected you to give growth and good results without giving the tools to get there. The roster budgets were constantly poor, and if they gave good budgets they would take it away during that roster period (meaning that casual staff members regularly their hours cut). KPIs were always top priority, and if you didn’t achieve good results one week (even if you’ve only missed by barely a point) you would get put down by upper management. There was very little consideration for work to life balance, as store manager you would be expected to work without pay, or attend outside of work meetings without pay. There were also an employee that myself and other management made complaints about because of their poor behaviour towards other staff and customers and nothing was ever done about it.
The breaking point for me was being expected to work whilst being sick, I voiced my concerns to my regional and was told I still needed to come to work even though I had still had a fever, sore throat and couldn’t talk from my illness. The amount of work and stress is not worth the little money I was being paid.

Shavershop is a good place to work but lacks in management. It all comes to Store manager and Area and state manager. Some stores are brilliant and does believe in leading a good team. Where as other stores are just full of negativity.

Job is decent when you get shifts but there is a severe lack of shifts available due to the very low budget for staff in each store. Pay is also quite low for an active sales role. Despite having worked here for more than a year, the company refuses to give me a part-time contract, even though they are advertising other part-time sales roles online. There is no commission and pay is low so there is no incentive to achieve sales targets. Despite my skills having vastly grown from when I was first employed, there is no opportunity for me to increase my pay. Manager expects me to do tasks that are outside what is expected from a casual employee.

Shavershop business model is poor at best. Processes are pre-historic, the worst price change implementation I’ve ever seen in retail.Invoicing is a stressful joke, one simple mistake takes 7293 emails to fix. There’s little matrix/kpis to hold team members accountable for, thus managing underperformance difficult.Store and Assistant managers are basically glorified sales assistants, whilst upper management (Area/Regionals) are expected to sale when in store, instead of running their Areas and people. I would not recommend Shavershop to anybody I know!And don’t get me started on the customers.
