What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
This company falls short in many aspects. Management lacks clarity and direction, leaving employees feeling lost in the shuffle. BTG's cumbersome processes complicate simple tasks, causing unnecessary frustration and time wastage. The lack of clear responsibilities leads to constant confusion and endless chasing for answers.
Personal experiences with management reflect unprofessional behavior, including speaking negatively about colleagues and fostering a toxic work environment where bad behavior goes unchecked. The bonus evaluation system, particularly the 360-degree feedback process, feels arbitrary and ineffective, ultimately determined by individual managers regardless of input.
Cultural barriers add to the isolation felt by non-native speakers, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. The expectation of long hours without compensation further detracts from work-life balance, leaving employees feeling overworked and undervalued. Overall, unless you're prepared to sacrifice personal time for minimal pay, navigate through poor management, and contend with an unfriendly environment, this company isn't recommended for employment.

Can be quite toxic and very stressful. People are not always very friendly unless you speak the native language

Lots of chasing other offices for a simple answer. To much work and not enough time to get it done. Can leave you feeling under appreciated and drained.

Don't trust them at all
|
I have learned nothing and only provided others with information I learned. Work place culture is cut throat and now seeing what happened to others I will be leaving in the near future. I had never seen people treated in such a way and it is beyond uncalled for and worse it was people trying to improve thing and working hard.

Eles usam novas tecnologias e você tem autonomia para trabalhar e com isso você vai aprender muito.
A maioria dos gestores não está preparada e não sabe gerir pessoas e projetos. Tudo confuso, metas borradas, prazos impossíveis, avaliações borradas baseadas apenas na opinião do gestor de linha que é o contrário do que dizem chamando o processo de Avaliação 360.
A parte mais difícil é a relação com a chefia e todas as horas de trabalho que são muito mais de 9 horas por dia.
A parte mais agradável do trabalho é a oportunidade de trabalhar com novas tecnologias, grandes projetos e arquitetura escalável.

Not a great place to work

BTG Pactual has a challenging culture on a daily basis. Most of the colleagues and managers are always making horrible jokes, being sexists, misogynists, homophobics and if you don't agree they make fun of you.
They use new technologies and you have autonomy to work and this being said you will learn a lot.
Most of the managers are not prepared and don't know how to manage people and projects. Everything is messy, blury goals, impossible deadlines, blury evaluations based only on the line manager opinion wich is the opposite of what they say calling the process 360 Evaluation.
The hardest part is about the relation with the leadership and all the hours of work wich are much more than 9 hours per day.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the opportunity to work with new technologies, big projects and scalable arquitecture.
