Great place to work but HR Director had the nerve

Highly reputable and beautiful hotel. 5 star. Decent benefits. Excellent pay

I had been sick and when I was put off work for a few weeks to get better, the HR Director had the nerve to ask me how many Doctors I went and asked to get them to write the note for me. In this day and age where mental health challenges are on the rise, to accuse someone when they are at their lowest point is lower than low. It was my family Doctor who put me off and that is how I responded to her. It wasn’t until after the conversation when thinking back on it, that I realized what she was really saying….to be clear I always worked hard and delivered excellent results for the team and was rarely ever off sick.
