Career progression is inadequate

You can apply for internal roles within the business and get absolutely nowhere, the recruitment team seem to prefer to go external rather than helping the willing ones grow and develop a successful career, I've had over 40 applications rejected by the company, I'm internal and work very hard. The salary I'm settling for is inadequate, there are school leavers coming in on £45,000 per year, irrespective of what life experience you have unless you know somebody in the food chain it's difficult to develop a life long career, there are lazy people being paid more than you for doing the exact same job, people are promoted because of who they know.

Lack of progression leading to feeling of demotivation, Not a very nice culture, Working hard doesn't pay off, Unfair Recruitment Process, Structure of interviews are inadequate as you are asked questions irrelevant to role.
