Terrible Experience

The claims department is completely unprofessional, unorganized, and ran by unqualified management. There’s a high turnover rate & low employee morale for a reason. Training is nonexistent as everyone is too lazy and only looks out for themselves. There’s a huge disconnect between employees at Beazley as you’ll be working with people remotely who have never even stepped foot in your office. Everyone only looks out for themselves and throws each other under the bus whenever possible. It’s best to use this place as a stepping stone in commercial insurance. Do your 6 months and move on to a better company.

Very decent company
|
Beazley is a great company for many people. Benefits are well above average, including lunch delivered EVERY day to your office! Much of the management team is very questionable, because most came up through the business and virtually none of them has ever been given any management training, but if you are lucky enough to get a good manager the company is OK.
The company has attempted to maintain a flat structure which drastically reduces advancement potential. I must say the CEO and President are great guys!

The open floor plan culture made it difficult to work in the offices. A British company, they did not support remote workers and had an old fashioned male dominated management style.

The people at beazley are great. Co workers go out for lunches and after work drinks. Everyone is helpful and polite. The company is smallish and it may make it difficult to advance in some areas of business but other areas are rapidly growing.

The atmosphere is congenial and friendly, there is not much bureaucracy and people generally feel free and flow. There is an official onus on congenial performance and free spirit, and people are generally happy to be there.
However, harsh decisions are sometimes made in an almost shamed fashion, dismissals and firings are swept under the carpet to preserve the ignorant bliss of the masses.
This environment serves well the true ambitious who will tread on what needs treading and the rank-and-file who will nine-to-five, but will digest and expel ruthlessly the middle-ground.
