If you work out of DC, 5400 Tuxedo Rd, we have the oldest buses in the company. Average day, you are away from home 13 hours , pay does not match the long days. But you have the freedom to choose any old bus to drive.

The job pays very well. The Sign on bonus is awesome. It’s up to 10 k now! Great benefits. Management is pretty good. Overall very fair and understanding.

BOLT Bus in Hoboken NJ is one of the WORST places to work. The INSTRUCTORS are ALCOHOLICS & more concerned with getting to the liquor store before it closes than showing the routes & they end classes early to make it to the liquor store. Beware of other drivers, they talk bad about you behind your back & WILL TRY TO GET YOU FIRED - the manager is SLOW & never available unless you are one of his FAVORITES. Watch your back, trust NOBODY, don't make friends, do your job & go home. The buses are also NOT maintained - they fix the arms of the sideview mirrors with DUCT TAPE FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! There are engine and transmission issues, I had buses break down on me a FEW TIMES during trips & had my passengers spread out on the shoulder on the highways, AT NIGHT!!! OH - and THEY MESS UP YOUR PAY REGULARLY & THAT BONUS they promise new hires is non existent. Stay away!!!

I have loved working for bolt bus. You have to be a self starter. They do not Micro manage you there which is very nice of the job
|
You need a CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsement no accidents no tickets. The employees are great to work with including the bosses. Our passengers are wonderful people we never had problems with them this service is geared toward college students and business people. I guess the hardest part of our job Is when you have to chain because of snow otherwise it's a wonderful place to work.

On overnights we stay in dorms or hotels

if you have a good attitude, work here is ease, and hte supervisors are very nice.
