The pay is below average although Fisher give a housing allowance which leaves students much better off than their counterparts when studying on land. The training received was adequate and the company support cadets in getting the necessary sea time required.
|
Crewing on and off ships was frequently disorganised. I wouldn't consider the life and conditions of the ships as a long term sustainable lifestyle option.
