Nice people but cannot reach targets

Nice people, good access to latest games.
|
Measured on sales targets and as someone who works as a part-time student it was impossible. You are then considered not a great salesperson and given hours or placement in the shop that doesn’t allow you to sell at all, which leads to lower numbers again. No real sales training, just left to it.
But I enjoyed my time there.

Teach sales staff how to sell. Also, customer service is valuable. Not every customer wants to buy something, it’s impossible to get sales numbers up if you are placed in a remote shop with a small bit of foot traffic.

Target based culture only begets higher targets

Coworkers were great, absolutely adored them.
|
Target culture doesn't give you anything but a casual well done and higher targets. When it gets to the point you have to read out a small essay to every customer and you watch the customer lose any wish to talk with you or stay in the store a moment longer, only for if you succeed they add another line to the essay and expect you to say it louder.
Let's not get into the expectation to work a midnight release and then come in for an early open the next day.
