The site was not designed to manage such a large amount of customers. Management very friendly nothing was an issue and very approachable. The staff are rude and won’t speak to people they don’t recognise. The hours are ridiculously long and they refuse holiday unless booked months in advance. The company is great, comes with good benefits and you get to know the community well. Especially where there is many regulars who come in. Even through the tough times recently with covid-19 the place has been smoothly ran, I would highly recommend working for a Greene king pub, I always go to work happy, and look forward to going in. You are often not given a break despite needing to have one by law! You are expected to work long shifts sometimes 12/14 hour shifts and still not given a free meal. Minimum wage doesn’t cover the cost of living and if you live a fair distance then your travel isn’t covered by the company even if you have to get a taxi late at night. Wouldn’t recommend working for the company although all the people I worked with including management were so friendly and made me feel comfortable while I was learning and I’ve made life long friends!
