the company honestly doesn’t care about you at all, i had someone tell me too k*ll myself, and other harsh things because his policy was cancelled due too a police issue, but my managers told me to brush it off and get back on the phones, i left 2 days later

Hastings are hiring huge numbers of retention staff at the moment and it's clear they're not used to hiring so many people at once because it's all been very poorly managed. Training lasted 7 weeks but was so poorly managed that staff leave training with inadequate skills to do the job and are immediately expected to hit the same targets as long standing staff members.
Unsurprisingly that hasn't happened and now they expect everyone who applied for a home working job to start coming into the office every day.
Time management in training was so awful, we spent almost no time listening to any existing agents taking calls to understand what the conversations are like and very little time taking calls with buddies.
Now out of training and expected to know everything and hit targets the role is causing me huge amounts of anxiety and half the team I joined with in training have already quit.

Entirely change the training system, allow for large amounts of call listening with skilled agents and then a small amount of classroom work for learning the products. Need 100x more and better support after training. Give staff breathing room to learn.
