The job holder will develop the pricing and excise strategies and plans, based on actionable pricing and excise insights in close collaboration with the Corporate and Legal Affairs department and other stakeholders, within the global guidelines.The PEF team will work with the Finance and Corporate and Legal Affairs departments to develop a feasible pricing and excise tax strategy that is flexible and responsive. Strategy and plans have both a short and a longer term focus and consider the potential effects, responses and mitigations against unknown competitor, regulatory and external reactions.Additionally, the PEF Manager is accountable for the timely and accurate delivery of monthly sales forecasts, and guides, oversees and assists the BeNeLux Forecasting Manager in the Forecasting process.The key responsibilities will be: Competitor Excise Intelligence Gather an understanding of competitor responses to excise tax structure changes and current tax regulations and policies to project competitor excise tax strategies Pricing Studies and Research Oversee and assist in the creation of pricing and consumer value studies/research proposals Excise and Pricing analytics Conduct scenario modelling to develop clear understanding of the implications of pricing and excise tax changes on margins Utilize these insights to determine the best pricing and tax options which will optimize growth and profits Review proposed pricing and excise opportunities to calculate potential commercial return on opportunities and generate a commercial impact analysis Excise and Pricing strategy & Tactics Develop in close collaboration with the Excise Team the local excise strategy based on Imperial’s guidelines, local excise tax positioning and specific regulations using excise analytics and insights as a starting point Performance Evaluation Ensure the performance of pricing changes is assessed against KPI’s and targets Forecasting Oversee and assist in the generation of accurate base line forecasts Oversee the preparation of sales forecast performance review Pricing & Excise data integrity and availability Ensure maintenance and availability of pricing and excise information and insights via standardized reporting Support operational and strategic decision making Use structured thinking processes to identify patterns and relationships relating to the strategic pricing and excise intelligence landscape; make links and associations between data Team management Responsible for creating and developing an engaged and capable Pricing, Excise and Forecasting team Responsible for Pricing and Excise Intelligence budget Your profile Masters degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance with a strong analytical focus or equavalent working experience 8+ years of relevant working experience in a commercial environment (forecasting, pricing analytics, business/market intelligence, modelling, financial management) 3+ years of team/people management experience High level experience in forecasting, pricing and modelling in a FMCG company is preferable Excellent analytical and decision making skills Proven track record of leadership behaviour, taking ownership and partnering effectively with stakeholders Stress resistant, persistent, integer, independent, flexible, eye for detail and a helicopter view Well-developed communication skills verbally and written Fluent in Dutch and English verbally and in writing Excellent MS excel and powerpoint skills What do we offer?Imperial Brands offers an independent full-time position with room for initiative within an international and dynamic organization.
