Repetitive, Long hours, No much support
|
I found the company quite interesting at first but as days went by the job becomes repetitive, boring and it can be take a toll on your physical health when you spend 10 hours sitting down in front of 2 screens. As a home based role you need to really enjoy working from home or else this job might not be for you. It’s long hours sitting down facing a laptop and monitor and taking calls sometimes non-stop for 10 hours. You’ll feel alone since you don’t get to be in an office space so that can make the job less enjoyable.
I would say it is a job that it’s worth doing if you like booking holidays for people and enjoy chatting, a lot. Sometimes support is scarce so it will force you learn how to be a good problem solver. Overall 3 star for me but this role is not my cup of tea. I’m sure there’s more enjoyable roles within the company.

Small team who were very supportive. The job can be stressful when previous workplaces of clients don't exist anymore, so you have to be an investigative journalist. Pay could be better.

Good to break into the Travel industry but you'll be micromanaged and overworked
|
The company is good to gain travel experience if you want you work in the sector, you get nice colleagues but you'll work long hours, get loads of customers complaining or looking to change their holiday and pay very little and will be under constant pressure to sell. The company will track everything you do, be very distrustful and ask so many questions when you are off sick. It is also extremely difficult to get annual leave specially if you need a couple of days to do something or simply relax properly.

Good training, good wage for hours worked but managers don’t care about staff within the airport always lots of people joining and leaving
|
Standing long periods, doing silly welcome tasks even when no passengers to greet, managers stroll around looking important but not doing much. Staff that have been with the company a while do nothing but still get paid while new people work hard with no real appreciation and work colleague balance is unfair

Overworked, awful management

Back to back calls
Strict on adherence and ont be even 1 minute late...
Expect you to work on if you are on a call for an hour or longer at times and this is supposed to be paid back to you in TOIL but it's super rare the Real Time Analysts let you have any and always put it on when it's quiet anyway. Management at the top have believe in working you til you drop! Too much work , too much stress and none of it is appreciated. We are but stats to them. Avoid.

Management at Manchester are bullies and brush things under the carpet when it comes to “friends” doing things wrong.

Awful place

Management are not nice . They only like you if your face fits and if it doesn’t, they will make your life awful . They are not flexible in terms of working hours. If you have an appointment, they won’t let you take time out for it. It’s a place full of cliques and snobby people. You only get to work your way up if you know people at the top. It’s very obvious.

Enjoyable job but very early shifts and no pattern to shift work
|
Early starts to be at the airport for 3am if early shift , staff bus every 20 mins so have to factor that in when travelling to work .
Some shifts are spilt so 2 hours doing nothing , not enough time to travel home and back though , good team at the airport friends bunch and fun to work with.
