I was fortunate enough to have a great store manager in my time at Joules, the training for the store was great.

Work wasn't particularly interesting and was just a stop-gap in between jobs for me, which is why I left.

Toxic Culture and poor management!

The staff discount was very generous. I was grateful for the uniform allowance.
|
Too much responsibility after only being there a short period of time. Management always put me under pressure to work way over my contracted hours and if I said no I was made to feel like I had let people down. I felt whilst working for Joules my mental health declined. Any thing I had planned outside work was always treated as irrelevant and I was always put under pressure to work shifts I didn’t want to. The work load was very high with the expectation to work without lunch breaks.
Area managers were very stuck up and ignored anyone in the store not in a management position.
Toxic culture within the store I worked. When staff left they could never get a replacement as new staff would usually only last a few weeks before realising what an awful place it was to work.
