My manager would simply tell me some part of a configuration was wrong without any context. There are no incentives to exceed expectations, the compensation structure and promotion criteria is not transparent. I was discouraged by my manager to apply for a promotion. Company policies are not followed, especially when the policy relates to a complaint. A "colleague" told a data consultant to not contact me for advice or help because I was not on that project. A manager/lead consultant on one of my projects made lewd comments about a client and their physical appearance Most engagement managers rely on their architects to manage projects since they are often unskilled in project management and/or Workday methodology. Any sort of complaint on work/life balance, workload, etc. was met with hostility and arrogance because "I signed up to be a consultant." Learn to accept that some people are ambitious and the status quo can sometimes be challenged; do not make villains out of the people who have the ideas to improve a business unit or process.
