Awful workplace
|
If you are considering joining metrobank - don’t. It’s a draining job where you are nothing but. a number, management is terrible and will do whatever possible to not support you, god forbid if you have a question. The hours are long and change all the time and if you can’t commit to working an 11-8 then too bad. It’s a toxic workplace where you will only get treated okay if you’re friends with management and you get interrogated over stats. You are not a human just the stats you bring. Lack of support for mental health , the most draining job and the full time wage (21,350) IS NOT at all worth it for the amount of things you have to do.

Stressful place to work
|
Most enjoyable part of the job is some of the people I met along the way.. and the pay
But all in all metro back look at you as a number not a valued person they don’t allow you to be your authentic self even though they like to claim so.
Management look down on you
Bring a single parent and working is hard at the best of time. But having metro bank constantly on to you (being picky) about simple things also contributes to your mental health

Metro has very good employees and people to work with, really friendly (at least my team) with very approachable management.
Unfortunately the pay doesn’t reflect the work load and there is no progress within the company.

Demanding but fun
|
Job security was a bit touch and go with the redundancies.
Systems and data are not the best but it is what it is.
The people are pretty amazing and you aren’t just another number. Due to the work load you have a lot of responsibilities and it’s easy to make a name for yourself.
This isn’t a 9-5 job unless you want it to be. But if you want to really shine you need to put the hours in

Fast paced yet enjoyable atmosphere. Colleagues are very friendly so I fitted straight in with the team. Job is challenging but they supply you with sufficient training. Great company to work for!
