- Animal friendly - Friendly staff onsite - New HR department - Early Friday finish.

- Interview had no structure and job description looked like it was downloaded from Google. What was promised during interview isn't what's been rolled out in my time. - Supply chain manager- has No manufacturing experience / No managing people experience and No planning experience. Not open minded to resolutions. - Functioning on " how things have always been done" rather than open to ideas for improvement. - Nepotism, it's not what you know but very much who you know. - No flexibility as promised on interview. - Supply chain manager is not a team oriented "manager" very selective on favourites with special treatments.

- People don't leave the Company or the Job, they leave their boss. Pay attention. - Interview process really needs reviewing. A lot of what I was told on interview, I have not been allowed to do. - Check your staff in authority - often I've thought that some are sabotaging the business as they are the cause of holding up manufacturing and / or customer orders from executing the plan shared with the customers, resulting in dissapointment for the business. - Core values, seem to just be words, people don't seem to understand the purpose of core values or follow them either unfortunately.

The people are fantastic, the old shift pattern counteracted the cons of the job.
|
The training is terrible. Sharing of information and communication is poor.
Management are not approachable and take no interest in getting to know the staff which has created a divide. They blow minor issues out of proportion and have caused a blame culture.
Bad organisation.
A massive benefit was the 3 on 3 off shift pattern which was changed to a Mon-Fri, a decision made by management, staff had no input on the decision and as a result has led to major staff retention issues.
Little to no opportunity for career progression.

With the shift pattern change the rest of the issues become worse, with morale sinking even lower and more and more people leaving
There is a lot that can be said for the cons, but really none of them are going to be fixed in the next year or two.

They had a shift pattern...but it's gone now
|
They have no idea how to run a company.
Some bright spark thought it was a good idea to start shifts and pay the same as what mon-fri would be. Set it up poorly and then take new employees on in "good faith" that they were getting money from a NHS contract. The contract fell through and they then forced the people who took the shift pattern back to mon-fri with no extra pay despite extra hours would now be worked, extra travel etc, (same said people who joined the company because of the shift pattern and wouldn't even have sniffed at the job if it hadn't been for that).
There is no progression, no training and, hell, most of the time there's no work! They waggle the threat of unemployment for no reason as a desperate clutch for control and the company does nothing but change it's mind every 2 minutes and can't figure out a business plan to either keep a contract or decide on how to launch their own product (there's no point having a finger in all the pies if they're going in the bin anyway).
So if you like sitting trying to make yourself busy in a company that's swirling endlessly at the bottom of the drain then this is the place for you!!
