- trend of incompetent/lazy employees who are born into the roles, some very intelligent ones but shocking to see people clear HR with little to no investing knowledge/ initiative…

Great benefits in terms of Healthcare, annual leave and wellness support. Excellent diversity and inclusion. Perfect for people at a stage of their life where they are comfortable earning their base salary. Excellent team in Singapore(Used to be even better). Increment bottom out towards inflationary at a minimum. Above average salary in financial sector but one of the lowest-paying asset managers (known and accepted by management).

Near zero internal mobility (if you want to change roles don't be too great at your job).
Culture took a nose dive in recent years after the ex-SG COO left -the firm. Most of the great senior managers left soon after. Constant false governance and frequent expensive trips (every quarter) by executives from UK while letting go of employees in a bid to cost cut seem contradictory from the ground.
Bonuses are at rock bottom reflecting the stock price but it has never been high in my tenure here(no 13th month. 1 bonus a year but don't expect anything on this).
Be wary of some departments as the work-life balance can be pretty bad.

I can see (UK) management trying to do the right thing but blind cost-cutting and the lack of transparency when letting multiple people go does not reflect strategic thinking.
Start focusing on why revenue is plummeting when there other traditional asset managers doing decently well.
Stop outsourcing jobs to developing countries or "cheaper" regions, I believe they cost more in problems than savings.
Give employees more autonomy and do not let politics/white elephant projects(SOOO many) drag us down. I love working in this company but it feels like a sinking ship the last few years.

Senior management genuinely believe they are gods gift to the world and industry - so expect to spend a lot of time dealing with temper tantrums and unnecessary politics.
No respect for work life balance - calls always go in last minute outside of working hours and you are expected to drop everything to attend.
