Some really smart, professional people throughout the company who want to do a good job - but most of them have left.

Upper management (CEO level) is only concerned about acquiring new customers, not taking care of existing employees. The entire culture is top-down driven by how he wants things to run. As many other reviews have said, he is a micromanaging control freak - no local autonomy allowed whatsoever. Those at the bottom of the totem pole are treated as less than. Most employees are just waiting to find something better to get away from the daily disaster of incompetent management.

It was previously a great company to work for.
Do not communicate well,
If you raise an issue they will try to deal with it but if it does not fit with them you are ousted.
When the new CEO had taken over there was a huge cull of the workforce and friends of management were employed.
They do not take bullying seriously, you would be better to return to school.

There used to be many; in the last 2 years, any pros were overshadowed by cons

Without a doubt, the most chaotic and stressful environment I have ever worked in. Incompetent employees can wallow for years often because they're connected to the executives or above and managers simply don't know how to manage low performers out. They say the right things - diversity is important, career opportunities, you'll be paid fairly, but these were all lies. Do your research. Run, don't walk.

I don't know how the management got to be at the top when they are terrible at leadership. They are stuck in old ways and don't even realize how wrong they are. The worst thing is that instead of admitting that they are awful at leading, they push their ideas on others and expect them to follow the same. It was ridiculous. It's better to avoid working at Sopheon till the management is replaced!

Terrible management is detrimental to employees

I was too frustrated during my tenure at Sopheon because of all the problems management gave me.
|
The way Sopehon tackles management is just detrimental to the employees. They ignore the limits and capabilities of employees and only care about reaching higher and higher goals, which they try to accomplish by assigning insane workloads. Their blind pursuit of quotas has left a lot of employees fatigued, disgruntled, and unhappy, with a lot of people ending up leaving as a result of the poor treatment they received.
