Private healthcare scheme and starting annual leave allowance are good.

Company does not care about its staff and are entirely focused on profits. Pay is awful and when you asked for more you are told no. Systems, software and tech are extremely old and clunky. Have worked for multiple private healthcare providers and Spire are by far the worst. Family friendly benefits are poor. Career progression is non-existent for non-clinical roles. They are constantly making cuts or re-structures in hospitals and introducing “hubs” which are poorly managed and processes are shocking. HD at my particular site was misogynistic and inappropriate, however everyone felt as though they couldn’t speak up.

Listen to staff. Nothing ever comes from the staff surveys or staff are shut down when we are the ones working on the shop floor daily. Pay better salaries and introduce poor career opportunities.

Welcoming hospital and staff very helpful and friendly.

Staff don’t have high opinions of SMT. Onboarding was good for first 2 weeks then little to none. Speaking up is daunting and over shadowed by a strong character of SMT. Don’t expect to walk out each day feeling like you have accomplished anything positive as your confidence will be knocked and you will come out feeling as if you are ‘not good enough’ having had very little support from the start
