Overall, the role was ok for an early career chemist. Good experience troubleshooting instrumentation and learning the minutae of GC-TQ analysis.
|
My annual raise was tied to my evals, however, and despite a glowing review by my manager, whom I worked with daily, I received a lower score than he suggested from the lab supervisor, whom I had never met personally due to her working from the UK office.

The team I was on you couldn’t ask for better people to be working with (also training me were great also from within the team) New building is nice and easy location Can’t rate my team on here but they all would be an easy 5/5!

Pay and in my exit interview HR said they were aware of this so I hope this has changed for my former team Classed the job wrong for the work expected and skills/knowledge you learn and need to remember Other job roles similar were 5K more with other companies

While I was there and after heard about a lot of staff leaving, everyone I met was nice and helpful so don’t loose the good ones due to poor upper management decisions (director level above) on pay scales Costs more to keep changing staff

Pay is to low for the area with average rent prices in Lakeland, FL at $1,300 a month for a one bedroom apartment. That's 15,600 a year for just a one bedroom. Significant pay raises will be needed going forward if you plan on keeping people here. We cant live like this!

Be good to see more investment to support efficiency change to support long term ambitions. Been a challenging 12 months - not everything is perfect through a period of change and external factor impact (as everyone else), but you can see the ambition and passion to course correct.

Excellent coworkers. The opposite can be said about the Ceo, Vp's and Management. Very arrogant people at the top of this company. Not a place you want to work for.

Bad pay, especially with inflation at 30 year highs. Facility is new but covered in mold and water stain spots everywhere. If you have any kind of respiratory problems don't work here. The black mold, mildew, and hydrocarbon fumes this places puts off will ruin your lungs.

Key hires/appointments have been made within the business which have created a bit of nervousness throughout the business but has created excitement for the direction of the company. -There has been a few bad seeds in leadership in the past which wreaked havoc on morale. While some execs are better than others at this—I’d recommend leadership engage beyond mid-management/director level when developing strategic growth plans. Fresh perspectives and key insights are often overlooked.. For Example: Do you have the right people in on key initiatives around new internal systems or software onboarding? Perhaps there are fresh perspectives which could increase chances for successful launch. Do not assume mid-management is communicating with key contributors effectively.
