definitely an enjoyable place to work

It's a very enjoyable job. you arrive at work,look at the long list of locations to see which sites are due for maintenance that day,load up any equpiment the team will need and head out,complete risk assessmnets and work that needs doing on each site,tidy the site up before you leave,head back when everything or as much as possible is done,unload equipment,store and lock everything up then head home. managers were very competent and willing to listen to ideas or concerns,loved going around in the van to a lot of local locations but wasn't the fondest of working outside when its chucking down with rain or hot enough to start melting road tarmac.

A lot of local traveling, time passes by very quickly while working.

You'll also be working outside in most kinds of bad weather, not just the good kind.

Talked down to and undermined.
You are not allowed to breathe same air as permanent staff.if you ask a question they dont like, you are removed from the contract without explanation.

Management aren't very effective and loads of people are getting away with murder on a day to day basis. Information comes out slow and H&S is all but non-existent. Site lads and lasses are great but they are in constant fear for their jobs. There are a few really great teams who really struggle but try really hard. If you are a manager you will probably be okay but there is a lot of competition and they always put a positive spin on everything to more senior staff whilst telling us lot that everything is an issue. Was really stressful to be honest.

Utterly boring repetative work schedule that saps any enthusiasm accumulated.Upper management have no clue about the job but think they know more than you no matter how many years experience you`ve had.Management ignore phone calls and don't return any when you do make one for any reason..Work dodgers and staff that rob off the company get given promotion,thats if not found out.Call out rota was a joke as half the staff weren't able by experience or enthusiasm to cover.Dont do anything wrong though because even if genuine they wont believe you`ve not done wrong and you`ll get sacked by a manager who doesn`t know the job you do anyway and by a big fat ugly lady in a floral dress!

Been agency staff for over a year - don't feel valued. Says it all really. Would recommend as a stop gap if there's nothing else you can go straight into and you need the money quickly
