Pros Good benefits like all other tech companies Free breakfast on Wednesday Free lunch on Friday Ping pong tables etc. There are actually lots of good people that I actually work with Cons Growth has stagnated so there is cost-cutting Morale is really low Becoming more corporate and bureaucratic Politics as people are fighting over limited resources Constantly dogged by compliance and fincrime issues A lot of wrongly attributed contribution and wrongly promoted people I work with a few very incompetent senior people Opaque process for getting headcount. It starts from the top, if you’re a 'Yesman' and enjoy executive orders from incompetent senior leaders this is the right department for you! Decent pay, awesome company events, opportunity to travel Politics. Great work atmosphere and feedback culture. Amazing place to kick start your career and figure things out with great colleagues. No company is perfect, but I think Wise's flaws are super easy to forgive. The only issue from my time there was mostly related to people in management roles who had been at the company for ages and simply were not ever fired. In general, they like giving people another chance here, which is great, but I think they were overdoing it and a lot of people ended up lifting the weight for others. (they should be stricter with hiring and firing) Transparency, amazing team atmosphere, truly global and flat in structure, very empowering. You get the chance to truly grow. They also favour people who have been there for years, even when they underperform or receive formal complaints. Their own leaders don't act to change the status quo - it's easier to accept, close their eyes and continuously replace good employees. A lot of things were done; just a shame there was little honesty from some of the leaders. Too much emphasis on turnover of staff - who thought it was bad to have low turnover? Underhanded moves to 'manage' people out of the business because they had raised uncomfortable questions. They provide the training with people that are not qualified for. Within 4 months In the company they make you train the new hires. You should read about 20 to 30 emails daily before your shift starts but you cannot do overtime( meaning you need to read it before you shift starts and get no paid for it ) . The currency around the world changes the way its paid every day, and you need to be aware of it daily. If you don't, read the emails, Y’ll probably give the wrong info to the customer . If you do that it you count against you( even if you say you didn’t know about that, they will tell that the info was in the email of the day that you did not read it . They give a little training with almost teenagers employers that has no professional atitude and curses on the training . It is a LGBq+ company with people that comes to work with red, blue hairs, shorts, pajamas, whatever they fell Like to express their atitude or even with tails hanging behind their pants ( animal lovers ) nothing against it, but is too distracting and you cannot make any eye contact or you will be reported because you are judging. Is not a good job and the stress level is unbelievable. I don’t recommend this company. Coworkers were great, work life balance was truly stressed, the company’s reaction to Covid was handled swiftly and easily: we all had backpacks, laptops, head sets, adapters and foreign power adapters. One day the company told us to go home and take what we needed and they’d let us know when they reopened offices.
