Salary is decent, the work schedule depends on the season, but all in all not too bad and a lot of free time. The management is the worst, they don't care about their employees, Eeverything is based whether you are liked by your boss or not, this also includes promotions. Only people who are diving deep in the bosses behind is getting a promotion and your proficiency or good work ethics are irrelevant. Another thing,if youfind yourself between romanian crew, you will be ignored and forgotten. The company has a strong image but has done itself no favours in the long term by employing so many mostly very green & inexperienced people to crew its aircraft, recruited sadly in the main by a poor & inexperienced management, and this is unfortunately frequently reflected in the quality and delivery of their cabin service. The staff turnover is truly phenominal for an airline and explains why they are continually having to recruit so many more people to fill up all the vacant positions. It seemed to many of us as crew that anyone with any previous experience is not really valued in this company, they would much prefer to have inexperienced people who in theory would be far easier to push around. Many people are put off right from the start by the lack of any salary for up to 3 months for new-joiners, and although crews are locally based, their training takes place at the company's Budapest Training Centre, which for many will mean up to 6 weeks away from home, family & friends and also having to support themselves financially during this time with absolutely no income or salary, which is a very poor reflection on the company culture and shows how much they really value their crews. In addition to this, new-joiners have to endure an 18-month period of probation before there is any chance of being made permanent. Many have already jumped ship or been pushed out long before this time and so this sorry state of affairs is set to be continually perpetuated. The long duty hours can be extremely tiring, often finding yourself having to go into discretion due to various changing circumstances, the roster is often not worth the paper its printed on, and so overall, although there are some good people there, sadly NOT a very nice working experience and definitely NOT recommended for any new-joiners and first time flyers. ...There are far better companies to work for. 0.0 0.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 3.0 2.0 1.0 Jan 13th, 2021 03:04AM Mar 19th, 2021 08:16PM Wizz Air
lon:wizz https://www.indeed.com/cmp/wizz-air-2/reviews Feb 8th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Open WIZZ AIR Senior Cabin Crew Luton Airport The place where the lack of common sense and an unexperienced management make a horrible combination The job itself is very easy, you don't work many days in a month but you do spend the remaining days at home or in bed because the conditions in which you have to work in are extremely tiring. The lack of humidity, polluted air blown into the cabin thru the engines and the constant pressure changes not to mention cosmic radiation are enough to make anyone fatigued. Although these are circumstances any crew has to come to terms with, especially the ones flying short haul, there is very little understanding from the company's side towards this. There is no fixed roster for cabin crew so basically they whistle you run. Roster changes are constant because of the ultra low cost model obviously all departments are understaffed. Even-though most flights are legal according to the flight time limitation requirements they pay very little attention to wether something is tiring to do or not. If it's legal you need to do it so flying night flights, finishing at 8 AM in the morning and then with a one day break having to do a morning flight starting at 4 AM is very common. The managers whom are responsible for hundreds of people are picked from ex-cabin crew so they have very little or no experience in management because they refuse to bring in outsiders for these positions.
