Very hmmm
|
Some departments are great and it’s a great place to work but management could be better. Upper management is really the problem. HR doesn’t really want to help you and they do everything they can to not come from behind their wall.

Horrible

Do not work here. The supervisors play favorites the plant manger does not know to to do his job. The point system is completely useless. Only good thing about Aaon is their benefits

It’s not worth it.
|
The long hours, the demands, having to fix other people’s mistakes, it’s not worth the pay. The point system isn’t good and is an easy way to be terminated.

No recognition.
|
No recognition. Management are backstabbers. Too many supervisors. IF YOU NOT PART OF THEIR FRIENDS GROUP YOU MIGHT AS WELL QUIT. DONT WORK OR APPLY AT THE LONGVIEW LOCATION//COIL WAREHOUSE positions. They make their own rules and don’t follow AAON’S Handbook policy. They love to pick and choose who they want to mess with everyday.

Productive, busy, fast moving environment.
|
Typical evening shift at aaon would be arriving and walking your area, just getting to it. Doing the work you were trained to do on your very first day. What I’ve learned is you gotta really enjoy a job to love it! The management was ok as well as the workplace culture. Hardest part of the job was it being 12 hrs.

Fun and pays well
|
I've worked at AAON for over 2 years and have had several pay raises including cost of living raises. They train you on the job and once you know what you are doing I think it's a great time. You work only 3 or 4 days a week so the time off is a plus and the pay is good. Good people. Decent management.

Forklift Operator

I enjoy being a forklift operator because am not a big communicator.
|
Aaon is a perfect manufacturing company because they match you with a job of your career you apply for. My typical day at work starts off clocking in and after that I go to the forklift area to my forklift, before leaving I perform a check on the machine I'm operating for that day. I gather parts from the floor of Inco and the wagon from the westside of Aaon. The work place is ethical you rarely see anyone not working or playing around because Aaon is about performance. The hardest part of the job is supervisors! For example, I been here for a year on time everyday no points, hard worker, great ethic. I was upgraded to trainee coordinator which I thought was very great some days I even performed task by myself even though it takes three people in my department to do. I held it down for six months straight and because one of the forklift employees where terminated I was downgraded back to a forklift operator and lost my chances for a raise and a desk job. So that's why I said HR are the real champions because I made a report on my supervisor. When you have questions that need to be answered or particular problems. You can count on human resources to resolve the situation.
|
Educational programs, hours, profit shares, stocks, raises, healthcare, 10 minute breaks
|
It's hard to progress if you're not apart of the floor workers circle.

Working at AAON is the worst job I ever had.
|
What is the best part of working at the company?
The schedule most work is no more than 4 days a week .
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Constant pressure applied by management to make daily rates no matter what.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very unorganized and inefficient.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Constant pressure from management. Very frustrating trying to keep up with the team and the demands.
