Maintenance Manager Kentucky Do Better I've worked at Atlas for several years and have seen the company at it's height and now at it's low. Going from Public to Private seems to be doing the opposite than helping. They laid off a bunch of people without notice, the investors are holding up hiring and budgets even after over a year in reviewing their new "investment", and the workload for almost everyone is impossible to do. There is no support staff given, even when asked several times, HR is almost absent, Management's "hands are tied" in almost everyway, and the executive benefit while the hard-workers suffer. Atlas can do better and most tenured employees KNOW Atlas can do better! Corporate America at it's finest. B-737, 747, 767, & 777 type ratings are available in order to gain employment elsewhere. Gateway Travel to your domicile What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Too much time away from home. Advertise 17 but realistically you are gone 20+. Scheduling is also a real burden on the pilots. CBA violations are a regular thing. Low pay. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? You are truly just a number. You rarely get to fly the aircraft and regularly end up in Miami just to get current on landings. Union is very anti company and complains 24/7. What is a typical day like for you at the company?
