Most of the original engineering team members have left/laid off and they have a new inexperienced team trying to design cutting edge products most which fail at production. No wonder the customers are withdrawing their orders and this shows in the lack of revenue. Company is laying off people in batches, trying to salvage any income they have and retain as much capital as possible. Stock is failing beyond belief. Management are just corporate pawns willing to do whatever they're asked, no matter how it may impact workers lives/well being/work environment. Lots of buzz words used from upper management to try hiding the failure this company really is, while just trying to hold on until they possibly get government funding to save them for a little longer. The company doesn't know what to do and how to run business. HR is only there to punish you, never to be a resource for you. They have failed many employees and continue to wonder why the retention rate is so bad. No positive reinforcement, and they never want you to give feedback unless it was positive. Currently the company has had a huge amount of layoffs and let go of most of their crew. They went from a 24/7 facility to a Monday-Friday 6:30-2 in less than a year. Decent pay TL;DR, you'll be working for a company that doesn't really care about their employees concerns, and only cares about being a small company trying to run in big corporate shoes. If you want to work a job where you need to pick up after others that make WAY more than you while feeling like saying anything is either pointless or will get you in trouble, or you just really enjoy unfair and ridiculous treatment...then this place is for you. Take a look at the positive reviews and notice they're all from higher up employees (engineers, admins, managers), aka; the people they actually care about. If you're looking to be in a lower position like an operator, steer clear because if you're not part of the upper management then you're a nobody and will be treated with zero respect. - Unfair treatment amongst employees, higher ups, and management. Yes this happens everywhere, but upper management can get away with things like REPEATEDLY spilling very hazardous chemicals and leaving the mess without repercussions while lower employees will face discipline. Lower employees raise concern of the repeated issue, "know your place" so to speak. - Unclear rules that you'll only find out about once it's time for you to be disciplined. Was once told "well that's kind of an unwritten rule" about something that should have clearly been stated like it has been at every other job I've worked. - "Supervisors discretion" with disciplinary actions, meaning one employee can get away with something that you might not be able to depending on how your supervisor feels. - No unpaid time off (doesn't state that anywhere), so if you're out of PTO...better hope management has sympathy or else you'll face disciplinary action - Very unclear direction with the company's future, engineers usually question if the company will even last through 2023. They talk about how the company is failing, and some already have a foot out the door just waiting for the right place to call back. - Asks employees about how to improve their falling employee retention rate, which in itself is a red flag. When valid points are brought up, management puts on a nice "smoke and mirrors" act talking about "ramping" and "big wins" while giving a nice corporate spiel ignoring the major issues. - 4 people quit on night shift in a month, one each week. Red flag. UPDATE: They fired the entire nightshift with ZERO notice AFTER the night shift arrived for work... They walked in ready to work, and were told to go home. - Has a fab with no working alarms because "Toxic gases probably won't make it in there". The doors don't shut properly in that area... - Going off the previous point, they proudly boast safety being their number one priority. I remember hearing from maintenance "by the time you see the alarms (if they even work right), it's already too late for you". Concerning smells have been brought up to management, and it's shrugged of as "probably not a big deal". As mentioned chemical spills happen and when mentioning of reporting it through the proper channels, people have been told "let's not make mountains out of mole hills". Your safety is not their priority. - Have any concern that you feel should go through the proper channels, but nothing gets done so you go the next proper channel? Well word will trickle down and you'll probably be disciplined. Voice concerns and/or displeasure about the company's ridiculous policies, disciplinary actions. All in all, this company is an absolute joke to work for. The culture is terrible. If you're not part of the hierarchy then your opinion, values, and well being are worthless to them.
