Used to be great, has morphed into a place you don’t want to be

This used to be one of the best jobs in pharma. Leadership and management changes have since steered this company into a culture of micromanagement, instability, & favoritism. The only thing cared about is reciting word for word sales messages with no variation or business ownership. KPIs are king regardless of situation. There have been many layoffs lately. I would steer clear.

My team and peers are all hardworking and supportive. Management is actively involved in supporting important activities and available to answer questions. PTO, pay and benefits are excellent. The facility is well maintained and has a cafeteria.
Current challenges are navigating a lean workforce with increased work demands.

Nice place to work but needs focus

Supportive team and learned a lot. My manager was great but there wasn't opportunities to move up or even sideways in the company.
Great place to get experience but don't plan on spending your entire career here.

Everything was great, work, staff and training.

We had tight deadlines at times, but nothing we could not handle together. Team work helped minimumize the stress.

Some of the best I have experienced.

I was left to get on with my work mostly. I had meetings that were always interesting, to the point and if we had time we would just chat.

Good Products - Leadership in Question

Launched a LAI to Psych market in. highly competitive market. The company was run by leaders who worked in the CNS field and the directors were knowledgeable of the tough climate we sold into. The past years have resulted in change after change and the small nimble CNS company has become a Me-Too "Big Pharma" organization. Constant turnover and the ones that I know that are still there are unhappy with leadership. Just ask Sarissa Capital Management.

Stable work environment, average pay and good benefits. Top heavy management and apparently little strategy or vision. No continuous improvement or lean culture, end up doing the same none value added tasks and making the same mistakes.

I thought it was going to be a forever career. I was wrong.
|
I was thrilled when I was asked to join the Alkermes team. It didn't take long to realize the lack of respect received. For a small town, the pay is great. However, there is a large pay inequality between men and women with the same qualifications in the same job. The bulk leadership team could do better for their employees and communication is lacking.
This is a good job to get your feet wet in the pharma industry, though.
