SUMMARY
Ansys is transforming the way customers can access its simulation products, enabling them to try or buy products or services via a self-service online system. You will be on the forefront of this exciting transformation, working in a dynamic team of engineers and UX specialists, developing an e-commerce platform, using the latest cloud technologies and modern CI/CD development practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete development activities within a CI/CD development process, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
Perform complex bug verification, unit and release testing and second/third level support for assigned products. Analyze and develop solutions to problems discovered by QA or product support
Understand market and customer needs. Research new technologies and development tools to ensure that the product satisfies requirements and performs well
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
2 years work experience for Bachelor's degree holders. No experience requirement for Master's degree holders
Strong C# skills, under Visual Studio IDE
Experience developing and deploying web applications
Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated success in a collaborative team environment
Passion for crafting robust and modular code
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years of commercial software development experience
Experience with web technologies such as ASP.net Razor, JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript and jQuery
Experience with NoSql databases (Azure Cosmos DB/MongoDB)
Microservices experience
Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure
Experience with RESTful APIs

This is a 40-hour per week paid position, starting May 2023 and concluding August 2023. This position is for remote work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Advance the research of numerical algorithms and high-performance computational software.
Develop and automate unit and regression tests.
Learn and employ the best software practices including design and code review.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in electrical engineering, computer science, computational electromagnetics, numerical methods, circuit simulation, wireless communications, RF design, device modeling or related technical field.
If pursing a Bachelors, candidate must be Junior (3rd) level or equivalent
Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Knowledge of scientific programming (e.g. Python, C/C++, Java).
Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills.
Experience in software development is a plus.

As a student intern, you will help develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate Ansys products.
In this internship, you will support our Electronics team and begins in May 2023 and concludes in August 2023. This role is fully remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify and validate new models
Develop new applications of existing models and/or identify software or model limitations.
Determine best practices when applying simulation software to solve challenging industrial problems.
Work alongside software developers during the design, implementation and verification process.
Develop unit and regression tests.
Analyze results and provide feedback to research and development team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a MS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computational electromagnetics, physics or related technical degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with EAD or AutoCAD tools
Experience in applying Ansys Maxwell to solve low-frequency electromagnetic problems.
Knowledge of electric machines
Scripting experience with Python

As a Electronics Desktop Data Science intern, you will help develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate Ansys products.
In this internship, you will support our Electronics Semiconductor and Optical Business Unit (ESOBU) with data science for Ansys Electronics Desktop. This is a 40-hour per week paid position for Summer 2023 beginning May 2023 and concluding August 2023. This position is a fully remote opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Make improvements to the Ansys Product Improvement Program analytics system, including Machine Learning models.
Develop prototypes or test new solution strategies or algorithms.
Investigate defects in existing code.
Analyze results and communicate findings using visualization software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program.
Experience with Python and SQL.
Solid background in algorithms and data structures.
Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn.
Background in data science and/or machine learning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Azure Databricks, Spark, Power BI.
Experience with C++ is nice to have.
Experience with multi-threaded programming is nice to have.
Experience with Go (language) is nice to have.

As a member of the Lumerical Solutions Group, you will take on challenging R&D problems, advance our leadership in photonic simulation, and collaborate with partners to build a successful photonic design ecosystem.
You will work in a highly collaborative and dynamic team environment. In this internship, you will support Electronics, Semiconductor & Optical Business Unit. This full-time position starts on Jan 9th, 2023 and concludes on April 31st, 2023.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this internship, you will focus on developing multiphysics simulation workflows for photonic and optical components and systems.
• Develop new advanced compact models for components used in photonic integrated circuits.
• Automate development and verification process for photonic compact models.
• Enhance multiphysics integrations of Lumerical and other Ansys tools, such as Zemax and Speos.
• Propose, prototype, and validate new design methodologies and product features
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
• Pursuing graduate degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field, with a focus on photonics and/or electronics
• Programming experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar languages
• Experience using Lumerical’s tools and/or other photonic simulation tools
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
• Passion for photonics and software development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Design experience for various active and passive photonic components
• Knowledge photonic compact modelling for use in circuit simulations
• Experience with ray tracing tools
• Experience in photonic IC design and tape-out using EDA tools (e.g., Klayout, Mentor , Cadence)
