Very little regard for employees. Raises are few and far between, and only if you are in mid-senior level management. Anyone in any kind of management position has no regard for their own employees. Prior CEO and CSO have no clue. CSO walks around like he owns the place, and clearly communicates his dislike for anyone who is "not" his equal. If anyone in upper management does not care for you for some reason, they will let this be known and communicate this to your supervisor, and this will consequently lead to a bad review (no raise), even if your direct supervisor gives you a great review. Most employees will have very little future at this company

Great people, inexperienced leadership

There are dedicated, hard working people here and fun organized events like ski trips or the theater for those who choose to join.
|
The leadership team, with some obvious exceptions, is extremely inexperienced. They struggle making decisions and don't have the backbone or inclination to do what's right. The CEO is in over his head, as evidenced by his repeated need to spit out jargon rather than just tell us what's going on and the business reasons for certain decisions. I agree with previous reviewers that they don't care about employees - we can all be replaced.

Benefits are great. Working along side loyal and long standing employees to bring drug to market that saves lives is the most motivating factor that keeps us going.
|
Lack of respect from upper management and constant dribble of accountability and transparency is a slap in the face to the employees. Work life balance is unfulfilling for most. Pretty much implied to be somewhat available when on your PTO.

Totally transformed from the old management to New management ...lives and breathes in the new culture and DNA...management takes ownership, make it happen and feel for patients....

There are really no pros except the co-workers you have the opportunity to meet.
|
Zero work-life balance. They have a reduction and fire good people with no regard to the amount of work that still needs to be done. The good and smart people are walking out the door and they dismiss it as if it was not a big deal or that the person did not matter. They will hire someone above the level you were at but never gave you the opportunity to advance or get promoted. A promotion is on the table when you are walking out the door but it's too late nobody wants to be there.

Great benefits. Average compensation. Flexible hours with ability to telecommute. Generous training budget. Good work life balance. Ok location for commuting into Cambridge. New senior management team seems to have the company moving in the right direction.

Clueless management. It looks to be improving after the executive purging. Still more cleaning is needed to make it a great place to work. This review is based on the management team in place at the time I worked there. There is still some of the old guard that needs to be flushed. Only then will it be a great place to work.
