I happened to be placed on a bad team, with the worst boss I’ve ever worked for in my life. I had personal insults hurled my way all the time, I was told “I haven’t done one thing of value since I started working for the company,” and I was also told by my manager that he fells “he made a miss hiring me,” and that “even though I think of myself as a motivated person, I may not actually be a motivated person.” I’ve had success in every other engineering company I’ve worked for so I would think very carefully before taking this job, I personally would not recommend moving to Phoenix for this role, it’s way too risky because if you wind up with the wrong manager, you could be terminated 6 months later. If you already live in Phoenix, go for the opportunity if you want, just know that it’s somewhat volatile in my opinion.

I would recommend that upper management audit, and keep a closer eye on middle management. I don’t think upper management would be too happy if they really knew what was happening on certain teams within the company.
