Good if you're just starting out
|
Although I wasn't at the company for long, I met a lot of very talented and passionate people. You can tell that everyone believes in the technology and the impact it will have in the healthcare industry. I got along with everyone I met, and I really enjoyed my time there. I think they really tried to help bring me on board as best as they could. I came from a bigger medical device company, so I was used to the corporate stuffiness that came with it. Accelerate is still working it's way out of the start up mentality, and I think my work experience was not best suited for this role. I think this company will evolve over time, and I'm sure it will make a huge impact in the medical field. This is a perfect stepping stone for anyone just out of academia and wanting to get their feet wet in the industry.

AVOID - Unrealistic Expectations and Unprofessional Environment
|
This company is a great example of what shouldn't be done in the context of how you treat your staff and how mismanagement can make a company collapse.
For starters, they do not offer competitive salaries and when employees confront them about it, they lie to your face and tell you that they are offering you a salary above the state average.
Expect to be treated poorly if you don't happen to be favored by management and overworked. They assign you tasks to "test you". However, they do not test your ability to perform the job, they are testing how much responsibility you can handle at once before crumbling.
Overall, low salaries, poor work environment, fake company culture and a lot of favoritism.

The company tries to flaunt a unique culture that makes it a great place to work but that culture is long gone.
Overworked and underpaid which makes you feel undervalued (extremely low salaries compared to market rates, and raises are extremely rare and laughable when granted).

Great mission - hard timing

No company is perfect. When I joined, it was the closest match to the best role I ever had.
Although it was not great for everyone, I had the autonomy, respect and tools needed to do my role effectively.
Unfortunately, Covid halted the company's progress where new technologies take time
Much of the leadership and style has changed.

Little to no work instructions in the tech support dept means no ground to stand on when you are told you did something wrong. Open office environment means be ready to be yelled at in front of the entire office for mistakes.
