However, Brightcove has cut back on innovation, reduced product R&D, and shifted to growth via acquisition. It made a series of poor acquisitions that didn't align well to the company product line or vision, introducing integration headaches, and customer loss. One of its most problematic issues is its high attrition rates across all levels - from engineers to sales to the executive suite and department level management. There was a revolving door in many of the department management figures, create a lack of continuity, vision, and constantly introducing new business applications and adjusting its model of working. This placed downward pressure on personnel who had to adapt to these ongoing challenges while working to satisfy customers at any time of the day, who were frequently frustrated with Brightcove's inability to deliver on its projects and product promises. This created an an environment of having to respond to endless customer complaints, sapping a lot of energy of its lower ranked personnel constantly "fighting fires". People get burned out in this kind of environment. Everyone here wants to see Brightcove succeed. It is an amazing place to be. I love working at Brightcove. There is so much opportunity globally. Bright ice supports employees even at the most senior levels with executive coaches. That is good for the entire company. People that do well here take ownership but are also kind and caring people. Brightcovers are smart and fun. It has been fun tonmeer more and more people in person. The new CEO brings great energy and has been well received. We have an amazing product with a phenomenal new CEO. My managers accommodated my school schedule when needed. Overall, I got to learn alot and get hands on experience in my field which led me to getting another job. I didn't get PTO buy hourly rate was excellent as an intern. Location is also great in Boston. I got to work a half day on Fridays but the 401k match here was meh, so I didn't sign up. Health insurance is your typical HDHP with an HSA/FSA.
