It is very Friendly and helpful, a lot of Big 5 stores work together.

Most the time very busy. Helping people find things, interacting with people.

A fun place to work that is definitely good if you are a college student!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Flexible hours if you are a college student. Also a very laid back environment.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Managements lack of communication to associates and failure to help associates communicate project needs. Very vague or unclear instructions.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty good for the most part but definitely could be improved.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very slow chill days where there aren't many customers are the norm. Some days can get crazy but for the most part you are just helping a few customers a day.

Working here for experience is easy although it is minimum wage the amount of work completed to the pay rate is the same. I have been working for a couple months I’d suggest whoever needs a job to apply

Okay part time
|
Overall it’s a simple enough of a part time, coworkers are quite friendly and helpful. Management isn’t the worse I’ve seen but the company doesn’t really value you too much, with the most insignificant raises every 6 months. If you just need a part time job or your in college it’ll be fine, but nothing to live off of.

Great for a 1st job, lacking in hours

Working at big 5 honestly isn't too bad, especially if you're a sports person. Most of my coworkers are/were pleasant., of course a little drama here and there, and it can get very slow. There isn't a ton of hours to go around, very hard to live off wages.

Fun, easy going, not difficult to learn.

Hours, unless you're a manager, you'll practically never het a lunch break.

I have enjoyed my time over at the big 5. All of the people I work with are cool and it's an easy job. The pay is okay for what it is but the scheduling can be inconsistent at times.
