They make mistakes and don't own up to it. They give conflicting answers and feedback. And, sometimes dont respond at all. Honestly, they don't understand logic and guidelines any better than those they are supposed to "coach". I have anxiety and need a job at home. I'll say that I was always treated quite well before and after that happened — given opportunities for advancement, hardly ever asked to work late, given clear goals and reasonable timeframes. But the work got less interesting when most of the developers were outsourced. It ended up feeling like my job was less about building the things that were useful to our clients… and more about building charts to prove to our clients that we were worth the money they spent. It also feels like your not really part of the company and more like a third party/contract, but you are an employee. Sometimes there is low volume of work to go around. There is zero recognition. The pay actually decreases year over year because the workers are getting replaced by an artificial intelligence program that takes all the simple work. Humans are only needed for a very few, very difficult tasks that pay pennies and only take a short time. Pay is based on work completed, which means that the job creates a double inflation for employees. As rent, gas, and food gets more expensive, Bazaarvoice is "very comfortable" (their words) to create a pay structure that phases out paying its people. This job is only for those who don't really need an income or job satisfaction. It's something to do for petty cash. At least it's remote so no work clothes or commute time needed.
