Avoid at all cost- they treat people horribly.

Poor training- don’t ask questions or for help! You’ll just be blamed and let go. With the company less than 3 months when given the news. For the rest of the time was informed to not do typical job tasks, not sure why and was assigned to other tasks. Asked for feedback multiple times before and there was nothing, until the last two weeks leading up to the news of being let go. I was excluded from certain job shadowing opportunities and trainings. Was called a peon because of work I previously did (week 3~ on the job) addressed some micro aggression issues to the manager then later found out what was being said behind my back that I have personal issues. Not a friendly inclusive work environment for diverse individuals. Beneficial to personally know the manager for job security.
Should have known this was not a good company when it was brought up that a person had been let go and the executive’s response was “well who is going to stock the kitchen now??” They do not value people at all.

Good for starting out. but I recommend moving throughout the company if possible

Depending on the branch, the traffic can vary in how busy it gets inside the bank.
Front line work as a teller can be exhausting and annoying as many of the customers feel entitled, or demanding. but there are some that do make the day a bit better.
Very sales and goal oriented in the retail side of banking.
There are many inconsistencies with policies in the bank as not all branches follow the same rules. So expect some customers to get mad if you don't do the same thing for them that another person at another branch has done for them.
Workplace culture varies between branches and departments. It's honestly almost cliquey, but the company tries to employ a sense of we are all a team even though many don't seem to work together well. There is a feeling of separation from the retail side and the bank operations side.
Getting through to upper management is hard. And if they do get back to you it can be days to a few weeks later.
Unless you're a people person and like doing sales, don't do this type of job.
Only enjoyable part about this company is some of the benefits, yearly bonuses if the company does well and the annual stakeholder appreciation event where you get some prizes and food.

Company only cares about the bottom line
|
This company is about their profits and those that make that happen. If you are one of their leading sale people they will take good care of you. If you were like me, and did your job and took care of the customers you get over looked by management and the company. They only care about their image. The managers and employees change frequently and the ones that don’t are those favored few.
