Went over 3 years with no promotions then very limited people were promoted. Senior management does not listen to employees and push the blame on managers.

It was ok...at first
|
Working at Metabank was great for the first few months then it became obvious that there was favoritism between managers and employees. Management expressed it would take at least 6 months for you to become familiar with the process but would make you feel stupid every time you made a mistake. Mistakes for every employee were broadcast in emails for the entire company to see which I thought was very unprofessional and inappropriate.

Great people to work with but high call volume

The work environment was very easy going and energetic. The work was easy once you learn the different protocols and training was super helpful. During tax season there was a high call volume everyday.

Way too many managers, but zero direction from management. Most departments have no procedure or defined process and you're left to figure it out yourself, yet managers don't want a defined process either because they like to hide behind the chaos. Raises were minimal. If you had a certification that they requested you have in the job description, they would rarely reimburse you to maintain it. Promotions would rarely happen unless you're friends with your boss. Very high turnover.

They have a very hierarchical process that can be offsetting for a free bird.
