Management that needs to focus on a target and allow it time to develop. New management is more concerned about stock price and performance than investing in projects that can develop into market moving products. 3 layoff in 3 years and more probably on the way if exaggerated timelines and outcomes are not met.

Everyone, including my boss and all the team members, were very friendly and supportive, and helped me find opportunities to utilize and expand my skills. I loved working with everyone at Codexis.
|
Upper management is highly unorganized and their decisions were all over the place, and drastically affected visa status of international candidates. Moreover, there was a severe lack of communication between the upper management and the employees.

The people you are working with are great smart people. The science is interesting, if not tedious because they have a lot of protocols already mapped out. Your direct managers care about work-life balance.

The management does not communicate well. Sometimes you are told one thing one week, and another thing another week. Some of the upper management are resistant to change, even if they are saying change would be good.
