It was a good company to work for for 17 years. We worked hard and played hard all the time. Things seem to have went downhill since Oracle purchased them. Lots of layoffs

What is the best part of working at the company?
The money? The corporate gym maybe?
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They don't give any relevant training, its really a "trial by fire" situation.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Total corporate environment, all company drones who have always worked for Cerner, no innovation, a lot of "don't rock the boat" and for advancement you really have to "drink the koolaid".
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Just emails and meetings during the day, and when traveling you're gone 6 days of the week, home for a day, then fly out again.

Since being bought by Oracle they are in constant cost cutting mode. Most employees are always worried about being let go so they work only to protect their job. The leadership and organization is never settled and the direction is always changing. Client feedback on the products and services is really bad.

Felt they did not care about associates at all. Only the bottom line of company profit seemed to matter. Despite annual surveys of associates to make improvements, nothing seemed to change for the better. Actually took away/decreased salaries of associates by thousands of dollars for certain roles. Overworked, not enough people to do jobs. When people leave or are let go, they just give those jobs to current associates with no incentives. Depending on your position, there is a good work/life balance. If you have a remote position, it is more flexible. If you have an in-office position, much more difficult to get that balance. Overall this was not the best company I've worked for.

Depending on your position, a good work/life balance. After pandemic, most were permitted to work from home.

They do not care about their associates. High cost for benefits. Not many annual raises given, some years even none, even though annual reviews were stated as great.

Not a crazy workload, pay was not competitive by the time I left. Experience is highly dependent on team placement. Things have changed now with Oracle taking over. Health insurance seemed good, PTO about average, poor 401(k) imo.
