Fun workplace

This is a fun place and has been through a lot of transition since being purchased. The assets dropped from 850 million to 120 million since I have been there.

Friendly coworkers and interesting customers
|
I really enjoyed working with my trainer. The trainer was vary patient and kind. They have a good training manual and binders of how to do a certain task that were easy to follow. I also enjoyed helping the customers over the phone. For the most part the customers are all nice to talk to and are grateful for your help. There are a few that will challenge how well you hold your tongue and some who are just so lonely they call you up to chat. The decisions regarding what was needed for each customer to open and/or close an account could be tricky because they were made on a case by case basis. You have to remember not to promise anything including when they might hear back from the bank regarding their request.

Company atmosphere was one of support and assistance as needed. Quite a bit of turnover due to the challenges of the job, this is not for just anyone. Management was willing to work with us on challenging accounts but ultimately, they made the final decision on approving the loans. Hours were good, 6am to 3pm.

Would Not Recommend to Anyone!
|
Luckily, I was successful at what I did, therefore the commission checks were extremely nice on top of the base salary. However, it could take over a year to get paid out, which makes it harder to leave. The day to day grind was absolutely horrible - 100+ cold calls a day. Colleagues were enjoyable, but management was not. They only cared about end results and it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a deal all the way through. Account Executives would go months and even over a year before they could get a deal, if you weren't already fired for lack of performance. It was all about luck and timing.

A very high pressure inside sale management-Corporate Leasing
|
The day starts very early. (6:00 AM)
I would help my team prospect and close leasing deals for large corporations.
I interviewed many new candidates on a daily basis to build a brand new team from the ground up.
I hired and trained six brand new inside sales professionals. This was
a bank that specialized in leasing large equipment for companies all across the country.
The minimum lease was $250,000 and went up to 20,000,000
