Wasn't that bad at first, but the constant moving and lack of breaks can get to you. Expect to not really get much of a chance to sit around between making chips, cleaning, or taking trash out.

Productive, teamwork, and fun

The job is nice and the managers are great. I love all the colors. The food is great and everyone is like family to me. Though dealing with rude or entitled customers can be hard and raise my anxiety I love it here. The most enjoyable part is my co-workers, just talking and laughing when not sitting customers.

Un día típico de trabajo días agotados y días relajados
Aprendí a manejar mejor mi estrés laboral, el trabajo es muy divertido si el equipo de trabajo te apoya emocionalmente.
Me dieron la oportunidad de aprender en la preparación, no me regalaban cuando estaba ayudando a la señora de la tortilla, me dejaron aprender sin ningún reclamo, lo más difícil es cuando hay solo un busser para todas las mesas.

Fun work environment!

I loved my time at Chuy’s. Management was nice and understanding if you needed to call in or needed a day off. The training is good. They make you take test of the menu but help you get ready for the tests. (If you fail you don’t get fired just more training) The Arlington location is amazing. It’s also very busy. If you don’t like a busy work environment don’t work at this location. But as a server you will make good money.

Fun, except for management
|
Loved my coworkers and the customers - however, management is not only inept, but loves to micromanage; not a great combination. Lots of petty arguments and trying to involve staff in their personal drama, for some reason.

one of the best serving jobs I have ever had.
|
I know chuy's is a corporation so this may vary from store to store. However, my experience at #32 has been amazing. I love my coworkers and my bosses. Division of work is pretty equal so I normally don't feel like I have to do everything as previous jobs have made me feel. Its honestly such a positive work environment and the store stays pretty busy.

Management could be way more better. The food is amazing, my restaurant is not as big as others so money is not the best either. It is a very affordable restaurant, they should include automatic gratuity for larger parties of 7, I still cannot believe we do not do it.

the money is really good my only problem is with management

my only problem was the managers they didn’t really care about how their employees felt. they weren’t flexible with schedules at all, would often schedule me when i had requested off that day. they are just quite rude people to be honest.

Easy work

Good environment with some people more than others. Easy work and flexible hours. Majority of the job is greeting, seating, and taking calls. Not as busy as other places in the mall, but families love texmex.

The workers are amazing people, you meet new individuals everyday. But management is just not on the same page. They are all over the place. They make up their own rules and get mad when you call them out. They don’t care how you feel. Kitchen people are nice, servers are nice but the turnover rate is crazy is there. The floor is always full they never cut even though it’s 1 table in the building. Managers are always outside smoking or in the office doing nothing.
