What is the best part of working at the company?
The training....metrology and familiarity with their processes since theirs are different that any other shop because they supply the surgical community.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The overhead music that they play at a very high volume obstructs the type of concentration needed when setting up Swiss CNC Lathes.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Many departments striving and committed to work as o e unit.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Pleasant, productive, many of the machinists come up to those of us with years of experience for help and we are more than willing if the company understood that this problem exists.

you m not sure how to put into words what a lot of jobs have come to in todays timing but the lack of structure and organization is beyond exhausting alone. To be told by management that âthings usually arenât this chaotic and things may seem unorganized but they usually donât operate like thisâ was not the appropriate or most comforting thing to hear as I just started but however, itâs a pretty small warehouse than most, breaks are reasonable, and itâs a mix of younger and older crowd. Iâm not sure what else I really can say but the physical training lacks, communication lacks, and structure lacks. Then again, this has been my first time starting a new job in years, Covid happened, and itâs like every since, lack ofâs started being the norms with jobs.

A very high turnover rate in this facility due to lack of efficient management skills. Iâve seen some great employeeâs fired for not kissing managementâs a**. Those that weâre lucky enough, noticed the daily fiasco and quit. Iâm glad I finally got out when I did. This place has a long way to go, and are definitely not there yet. Their idea of âcompany successâ is based off profit, and not by the people (so that explains a lot).

Conmed leadership in Largo, FL is sorely lacking. The exodus of talent over the last 3 years has been stunning as a result. Expect to be significantly underpaid vs peers in the industry and expect to use the healthcare/dental/vision benefits because what Conmed offers is worse than poor. Don’t expect a promotion because the business president only hires his friends from earlier in his career.

Some good staff remain. Most that were competent left or retired.

Unrealistic timeline expectations, shortcoming raised to executive staff are ignored, Executives then blame the messenger

Grind shop with great benefits

All about numbers. The problems in the shop are a continuous loop and the people in the shop who try to get these issues resolved are often turned into the bad guy so they give up trying. Most problems are given a bandaid fix and the issues continue next time around. Numbers are not everything, people can lie about numbers and good parts. Great benefits and machines, there is some progress but if life is difficult for the people running your machines and you are not listening to the people that really know what is going on, then the results you get are reciprocated.

You can't review an entire company based on one position. My position in particular, management makes choices without knowing how to do the job. This can lead to unwanted changes or time wasted that could have been invested in something more productive. But overall, not a terrible place.
