Okay place, decent pay

The work hours are long and late (for a sales position). Getting out at 10:30 some nights. It's stressful when busy or during the holidays. The money is okay if you actually put in the work. The employees were all pretty chill. Area managers and above micromanage everything.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I have felt inadequate from the beginning of my employment with store 253. There is internal drama, racism issues, concerns reflecting upon age, nationality, and the sense that one is unwelcome.

Internal drama, and serious competition.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was founded on strong moral, ethical and great business ideals. But alas, over time have been lost by bad apples...
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It depends on the weather, the foot traffic and the sales team. If you have a great day it is often because of dedication of the sales team. But some days are slow ,and others are exciting.

It’s not fun, you get paid pennie’s. Got a promotion just to be paid the same for triple the work. Not much business, customer base is always rude. Managers have favorites.

Great environment to work in. It's fun, the managers are wonderful and helpful. Co-workers are nice. I love learning about new products coming in and love helping customers find something that they will love for a long time.

Doesn't pay a living wage to its sales people. You can make better and easier money flipping burgers. All you do is make cold sales calls all day practically begging customers to come to the store.

Mass layoffs in Jan 2024

The company has not been doing well for several years and all the hype that upper management tries to put out is just them twisting their Financials numbers to sound positive. Overall the company loses money period. Doesn't matter how you "beat earnings" when your earnings are still terrible and represent losing money per share. just laid off a third of its corporate employees in HR, IT, etc and closed some of its call centers. Also lots of retail store layoffs too. On top of all that the company is just generally unethical as far as their stores go they encourage the salesmen to lie and all that. They act like they don't know... I wouldn't recommend working or shopping here to my worst enemy.
