Great place to work- if you are NOT in the QA Ops Dept.

There is a very supportive cross-functional effort across several departments here- which is fantastic when it comes to facilitating work. True especially if you are working in a really stressful dept to begin with. Others who have worked/been working in depts like Analytical, Manufacturing, Finance have generally positive experiences with their managers, work-life balance and work-load. The company culture is positive and the benefits, especially healthcare, are great!

IF YOU ENTER THE QA OPS DEPT, BE AWARE: There is an unreasonable work load and ambiguous last minute deadlines which can cause people to work extremely long hours, including weekends. Disorganized and mismanaged QA dept with a toxic culture, where people are quick to throw their subordinates under the bus to cover up for their own failures. Failures quickly result in you being placed into PIPs or treated as less. In this dept, there is either nepotism or favoritism that get you treated fairly, otherwise you are always worth less and treated as such. Inconsistencies and ambiguities from the powers that be, do result in some very upset clients who vent their anger at the rest of the company. Very high employee turnover for THIS dept is well-known (everyone that works here is aware of the elephant in the room, which is the ever-revolving door, especially on one particular project in operations...). People are coming and leaving in droves, because of the QA dept management. The dept will always appear to have lots of work; but in reality, its because of the overhead on the board, and the company's inability to retain employees in this dept and thus distribute the work fairly and equally. Cross-functionally, if you can get into any other dept, be it Analytical, Manufacturing, etc- your experience may be great, but if you get into QA here- good luck.
