Great company, great people, but honestly: terrible management in the QA dept.
|
IF YOU ENTER THE QA OPS DEPT, BE AWARE: There is an unreasonable work load and ambiguous last minute deadlines which can cause people to work extremely long hours, including weekends. Disorganized and mismanaged QA dept with a toxic culture, where people are quick to throw their subordinates under the bus to cover up for their own failures. Failures result in you being placed into PIPs. Inconsistencies and ambiguities from the powers that be, that result in some very upset clients who vent their anger at the rest of the company. Very high employee turnover for THIS dept only (everyone that works here is aware of the elephant in the room, which is the ever revolving door especially on one particular project). People are coming and leaving in droves, because of the QA dept. which will always appear to have lots of work; but in reality, its because of the overhead on the board, and the company's inability to retain employees in this dept. Cross-functionally, if you can get into any other dept, be it Analytical, Manufacturing, etc- your experience may be great, but if you get into QA here- good luck.
