Some nice people. Remote work. Some flex hours.
|
They have an excellent speech, but they don't care about employees. They launched a "People First" program, and three months later, they laid off more than thirty people, most engineers, because it is cheaper to develop abroad.
No sick days. If you are sick, they will discount those days from your vacation days.
Managers are focused on performance, but a pretty good performance could help you get a little raise that is always below inflation. They don't raise your salary. Some people got a new position with more responsibility but without any increment in the paycheck.
They are selling and buying companies, so you must adapt the software to tight deadlines.
It used to be a friendly company to work in, but lately it has become a very stressful and intolerant environment.

Work is easy and you have plenty of time to slack off. Great break room with a pool table and free food.

Head leadership of the company (not my boss) fired a large part of their IT department recently. Did not take the backlash well. They tried outsourcing it only to realize after they fired their team that there was no documentation. Obviously not the brightest.
