My co-workers and I had a very special relationship. We were all very close, sort of like a family. However, working for a biotech can provide many financial challenges. CTI suffered multiple layoffs over my tenure with the company. Given that we were a public company, our financial reporting responsibility remained the same regardless of the number of people to complete the task. This afforded those of us that remained the opportunity to learn many new tasks and taught us all the importance of time management. At the end of my tenure, CTI had to reduce their staff by 50% to reserve resources.
