Which department you work in will determine your happiness and work life balance. Remote work is definitely frowned upon - even after Covid proving it was possible, functional and better for mental health. High turn over in HR. Some departments like to micromanage, others don’t.

Allow for more employees in appropriate roles to work hybrid or remote. Stop micromanaging, stop HR from singling out people they don’t personally like and limiting their opportunities for growth and advancement. Add more mental health/personal days for all employees, add paid maternity/paternity leave.

Great work to life balance, can't really beat bank hours. Work once every three or four weekends. So long as you end with co-workers you get along well with! I am enough to be on a small team and I like both of my co-workers.

No pay transparency and pay is NOT based on experience or seniority. Managers tell you not to discuss pay (which is illegal.) Of course the discussion happens anyway- as it should- and you will find tellers who have worked for 2 years making more money than those who have been working for 15+ years. During the interview process they will ask how much you want to make- over estimate this by at least 2 dollars an hour to be paid as much as you should. Pay ranges are never transparent.
