I can't speak for all teams in the company, however, leadership on the CAE (upsell) team is top tier. If you put in the work and seek constant improvement they will bend over backwards to support you.
The Domo product is a pleasure to sell/support and customers are intelligent and fun to work with

Like any company, there are politics and decisions are made in a vacuum. We've had poor choices made by leadership concerning comp plans and quotas that, without tremendous luck, feel unachievable. however, a select few hit every single year which only motivates me to work harder/smarter.

Really great people to work with. We have lots of groups that have fun during lunch, and really great professionals that care about helping each other grow and building a great product.
|
Management has occasionally made decisions that benefit themselves and shareholders at the expense of regular employees. While I dislike that this happens, it doesn't seem uncommon for companies of this size, it hasn't driven me to leave so far, and overall I remain quite happy and satisfied to continue working here.

- Unattainable quotas.
- Good leads passed to select reps (friends of leadership).
- They micromanage you with the very product you sell. Managers try to show you the data on top reps and why they are good. The problem is the data is flawed - the top reps, who are friends with leadership, are all fed the good inbounds, so of course they will have better closing metrics. 85% of the other reps who aren’t part of the boys club have to fight for the garbage/scrap leads.
- Managers are clueless, except maybe two of them.
- The managers that aren’t clueless have the best reps because they can actually help sell the platform. The problem is there are only 2 sales managers that actually know what they're doing. If you have the other clueless managers, good luck to you.
- Weirdest management styles that I have ever been a part of in my sales career.

Hire reps and let them do their job. Make it a level playing field for everyone on the sales team. Don’t just hand inbound leads to your favorites and then show the other reps on your weekly meetings sales dashboards conveying how good they are. Maybe your other reps would have good metrics too if you handed them the same number of quality inbound opportunities... The data is flawed, and it’s obvious.
