The company is fast pace and constantly growing. The new management and employees we have in place now are key to the positive culture and workplace at Energy Focus. We are always innovating and producing new and exciting LED products! I have learned so much in the short time here and am very grateful to be working for a company who truly listens and appreciates their employees. That we could get together as a whole company (remote workers included) more often. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 3697 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Jan 1st, 2021 10:23PM Jan 1st, 2021 10:23PM Energy Focus

nasdaq:efoi https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=3697 Mar 30th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Energy Focus United States USA Transparency is King I have had many jobs and never have I been treated the way I am treated here. The company runs on trust and transparency and this provides a feeling of mutual respect for everyone in the company, regardless of position or rank. There is an open-door policy that makes me feel like I can express any concerns I have and I know they will be heard and considered instead of ignored and shrugged off. I wish that we could do more team-building exercises to connect us as a company so we are a team working towards the same goal instead of separate departments ignoring one another. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 3697 Open Keep on keeping on. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Jan 1st, 2021 10:23PM Jan 1st, 2021 10:23PM Energy Focus
nasdaq:efoi https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=3697 Mar 19th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Energy Focus Customer Success Manager Solon, OH From "starting to the bottom to growing to the top" From starting to the bottom to growing to the top, being employed for 6 years, I think the company has gone a very long way. Within business, there is always change... not always is changed agreed on or in the benefit of all individually but for good business practice for a growing company in the LED industry, I think EFOI has come a long way! I can speak on it from my experience from starting in the company in 2014 as a temporary production worker, scared of the factory world as I've just worked in office settings.... joining the company has been wonderful and a definite appreciation stance in my career path as an individual. Working as a lead worker in production helped me work on my self as a person with being able to listen, respect, encourage and teach. I've worked closely with all departments, ages, nationalities and opinions. During my time in production, it gave me skills I can use in and outside of work: supervisory and first aid. After production for 3 years, I decided to start a family. After being blessed with having wonderful benefits and having Maternity leave, going back to work I decided I wanted to have a challenge, I wanted a change and I wanted to become more professional and learn the other side of the business while helping our customers. I interview and was offered a customer service position which led me to not only expand my knowledge but to share the knowledge of the company and products I already had. As being a representative and working closely with customers, national accounts and sales team... I was promoted to Customer Service Supervisor. Not only being a supervisor but a working supervisor, building a team, still working directly with our customers and making sure all ends of an order and their time with EFOI was outstanding. Still eager to learn and keep growing within the company and as an individual, I am now the Customer Success Manager. I love this company, the environment, the new management, the culture - the people who work there are GREAT! I love the coaching and hands on learning and support we share with each other. I never fuss and tumble out of bed dreading the work day, unless it's a gloomy rainy day.... I hope this lasts forever! With my time invested and ongoing in Energy Focus, I highly recommend anyone willing to work in a positive, innovative and sustainable company to join our team! People being scared of change. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 3697 Open Keep working to nurture all employees in the company to be above and beyond star players. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 6.0 Jan 1st, 2021 10:23PM Jan 1st, 2021 10:23PM Energy Focus
nasdaq:efoi https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=3697 Jan 15th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Energy Focus Business Development Manager New York, NY A revitalized workplace Energy Focus provides an environment for getting involved in multiple facets of the business, ready access to senior members of management, a collaborative culture focused on both the company’s mission and staff development, and the knowledge that what we are doing will have a positive impact on our clients. Our CEO, James Tu is passionate about being active in changing the world through LED lighting. Most of our team are new, which is great — there are no silos that make you feel like you can’t ask questions or suggest ways to make the company better. In fact, it’s encouraged. Energy Focus has been around in one form or another for over 20 years, but recently changed the entire management team. We are working to build an exciting company that will make a difference. It’s the best of both worlds — a start-up with a heritage of success. I encourage anyone who may be considering a job with Energy Focus to do more than just read old reviews — you should speak with a few current employees. While working remotely offers many benefits, increasing the frequency of meetings at the home office in Ohio would assist in cross-department collaboration. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 3697 Open Continue driving the development of a competent team to manage sustainable growth. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Jan 1st, 2021 10:23PM Jan 1st, 2021 10:23PM Energy Focus
nasdaq:efoi https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=3697 Dec 28th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Energy Focus Solon, OH This company is nearly finished due to incompetence Generally the facility is clean, plenty of parking, and for the most part the product portfolio is magnificent; there’s plenty in stock. The plant also houses a wildlife preserve! Pathetic mismanagement, waste, and near complete lack of coordination, communication and accountability have all but ended this company. Quite a shame because the products are phenomenal; many good folks who truly apply themselves every day have been subjected to cruel and childish mistreatment. The plant has lost nearly all of its stars of productivity and the remainder of the staff are practically on a chain gang waiting to be furloughed. Steer clear of the receptions desk if you dislike sharp tounged postal workers. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 4.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 3.0 1.0 3697 Open Have the decency to give severance to the remaining staff who have earned a good sendoff. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "Marketing Associate", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 2507999, "responseDateTime": "2020-02-03T11:09:11.767", "translationMethod": null, "response": "We are disappointed in your poor work experience with us at Energy Focus. nasdaq:efoi https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=3697 Dec 3rd, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Energy Focus United States USA If You're a Fan of Abuse and Mind-Games, This is the Place for You! This company has the most genuinely loving and hardworking set of coworkers you will ever have the pleasure of working with. What is left of them anyway. The only real positive is the immense relief you'll feel when you finally leave the place. This company has the most genuinely loving and hardworking set of coworkers you will ever have the pleasure of working with. What is left of them anyway. The only real positive is the immense relief you'll feel when you finally leave the place. The fact the company profile still says there are "51-100" employees is laughable. Between the firings, layoffs, and employees jumping ship, this company is LUCKY if there are even 15 cars in the parking lot on any given day. The skeleton crew that remains, of those employees who bother to make it into the office, is made up mostly of "management" spewing propaganda about positivity and feng shui being the path for the company to finally achieve the success everyone has been looking for. Except in this fantasy world, they also don't need real money or sales to keep the door open. HR's favorite phrase on any given day, is "there is no such thing as problems, they're just obstacles to overcome," or whatever key phrase from the self-help book they've read that morning that qualifies as "HR training" and paints a positive picture of the dumpster fire raging all around them. The executives, who are all apparently experts in saving failing companies, have spent the last two years "forging ahead" with an elaborate plan to turn the company around. Which, in the last two years has shown absolutely no growth in sales, the one thing the company needs to ACTUALLY make a turnaround. However, apparently the culture is now SO much better than it used to be since the employees have all finally learned that they are to be seen and not heard, unless they want to magically disappear after the next earnings call. In fact, there is no culture, there are only very quiet employees all using company time to search for new employment opportunities because they all have to look busy to make up for the work they don't have. But don't worry, the world-class Sales team with over 150 years of combined experience in the lighting industry, has gone from a team of 6 to a team of 2 in less than a year, but they'll make the save. You just have to be patient. A turnaround takes time after all. Now for the endless abuse and mind-games mentioned in the title. Where to even begin? The racism, sexism and agism that plagues upper management, you would think you had found yourself back in 1950s corporate America. Unless you're a middle-aged white male, or a female willing to answer to every beck and call of the male leadership, you don't have a chance. Show aptitude to do your job well and you'll quickly find yourself over stepping boundaries and bruising the delicate ego of your boss until the only words out of your mouth are looks good, or sure I'll get right on that despite the absurdity of the request or easier way you know to find the information. HR refuses to implement any formal training program so it's really no wonder the new management has no idea how to do the job that's required of them, and the immense ego problems ensure there is absolutely NO WAY an employee who has been there double the years they have might have any ideas on how to assist them. It's all off-the-cuff decisions with no knowledge in the plausibility or cost vs benefit outcome of those decisions. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 6.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 3697 Open What management are we talking about here?
